Monday

I signed up for a FitDay calorie counter & diet journal yesterday and started logging all my intake and motion today. No wonder I'm pushing 400 pounds! I had no idea how many calories foods contain. I'm at nearly 1200 calories for the day right now and I can't believe it. Here's my profile.

This morning, I joined the YMCA. After filling out loads of paperwork (for him and for me), we swam laps in the pool. We hopped in at about 1:15 and there were very few people in the pool. It was nice. We stopped home so I could inquire about a free spinning class at another gym. It turned out that I didn't have to wait until May... there was a class today. So I signed up. That gave me 2 hours to go to the post office and grocery store (okay, and BigLots), have a snack, and get ready to roll.

For snack, sibling K recommended yogurt and granola. Several friends have sung the praises of Greek Fage lately, so I bought that at the store. It seemed thicker & creamier than regular yogurt, but I didn't like the taste very much. Maybe I'll try a flavored kind next time if it doesn't add additional calories.

I arrived for the spinning & circuit class not entirely sure what to expect. The instructor wasn't there yet, but the student next to me noticed I was struggling to adjust the bike and she gave me a hand. I made it through 65 minutes of it. 65 isn't the whole 90 of the class, but I'm going to focus on the fact that 65 is a LOT bigger than 0.

I'm home. I'm clean. I think I'm going to bed.
