Thursday

Today I had a rare Thursday off from work. Chris and I went to 2 grocery stores in the morning to pick up a few things. (Isn't it frustrating when you have 5 things on your list, and they're on sale at 4 different stores?!)

Took a nice nap mid-day and headed out to do a few errands and then off to the Y. I did decide to stop off at the contest HQ to weigh in. I lost a few more pounds, but was hoping for a much bigger loss this time around. Today's weight was 337.2, for a total of 48.3 pounds lost since April 21st. Not bad, but I really wanted to hit the big five-oh. Next time. Oh, and some progress to report: Leaving the contest HQ, I actually JOGGED out to the car. I know!

Had our usual instructor for Zumba today and Carrie and her daughter joined in. It's fun having friends in the class. Another gal (Jodi, I think?) came up and introduced herself. It was only her 2nd time. We got a serious workout!

Then it was a quick hop over to the locker room to get ready for water aerobics. Dawn was our instructor today, and she's going to take over Tuesdays and Thursdays. She's a great instructor. She demonstrates the motions and can yell loud enough to be heard. Her workouts are killer. She has us doing much bigger motions than the other water instructors, so we get hot and even sweat from our faces and heads. I guess I was red, because people kept asking me if I was OK. Yep! Just hot.

Carrie did water aerobics today, too. She told me that in the few short weeks she's known me around the Y, she can see that I'm losing weight. I really love hearing that. She's doing Weight Watchers and hasn't seen any movement in the scale for six weeks. Here's hoping she has some success in that department soon. She deserves it for sure.

After working out, I stopped at the library quickly. They got in The Biggest Loser Cookbook and they were holding it for me. Tonight, Chris grilled some chicken breasts for me to eat for the next few days. It really saves time to do them all at once and plan ahead.

I've got laundry to fold. Type atcha soon!
