Monday

Today started off with a chicken breast and tomato. Then went to the grocery store with Dad. Got lots of veggies and fruit, and got a bit more of the fresh-ground almond butter.

Had just enough time to have an apple with almond butter, put away the groceries, get dressed, and head out the door to meet my trainer. We worked out in the new room again today. This time, we did the first rep at the weight from last time, then the second rep +15lbs. and the third rep +10lbs. And we had plenty of time for cardio afterwards, so we headed over to the hike-simulating treadmill and did 2-3 minute intervals of higher and lower speeds. I was really sweating by the end of that!

Kimberly and I discussed the weekend parties and how those can be real pitfalls for those watching what they eat. I felt pretty triumphant! We also discussed the letter I received this weekend that indicated there were over 400 participants in this contest. They only made me work harder.

When I got home, the house smelled heavenly. There was evidence on the stove. Chris made popcorn. I begged for some just a few nights ago, but he wouldn't make me any. I was glad that there was some left for me.

For dinner, I cooked chicken thighs (boneless, with fat trimmed) and a big pot of vegetables (celery, shallots, zucchini, broccoli) cooked with one can of no-salt tomato sauce and no-salt diced tomatoes. It was very good. Now I need to go out to the kitchen and pack up the leftovers.
