I had an Active Lifestyle smoothie for breakfast and a Lean Cuisine Roasted Garlic Chicken meal for lunch.
It was getting to be nearly 2:00. The sky looked gray and the wind was blowing. Perfect excuse to stay home for the afternoon! I sat down at my computer and read a few blogs and a post on one of them hit me: "Thoughts are not actions." Yep. Darn right. Thinking about going to the gym isn't going to burn the calories or get the weight off. Only going and doing the work will make things happen. This reminds me that "if you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got." So I got changed, grabbed my workout stuff and headed to the Y. I did 40 minutes of cardio on the treadmill, forward & backward on a 2.5 incline.
I didn't have anything prepared for dessert for Father's Day dinner, so I decided to stop by the store on my way home. I grabbed some strawberries and a pint of ice cream. I sliced the strawberries when I got home and put them in a Tupperware container with a little sugar. (Since I'm not partaking in sweets right now, Dad didn't want me to make a whole strawberry pie, his favorite.)
So for dinner, Chris grilled NY strip steaks seasoned with Badia Garlic & Parsley, sweet corn on the cob, and a spinach salad with tomatoes and hearts of palm. Dessert was vanilla ice cream with strawberries. I did have one scoop of ice cream and one spoonful of berries. Then much later in the evening, I had some very nice red grapes.

I love the "Thoughts are not actions" statement. So true. So good for you getting up and putting your thoughts into actions.
