Saturday

Woke up before 6 this morning. We have some garage sales to hit that start at 8, and they're about an hour away.

Fixed the usual omelet with veggies this morning, but with one twist: instead of three eggs, I used two eggs plus one egg white. According to FitDay, that saved more than 50 calories. More importantly, it reduced the cholesterol significantly too.

While we were out, we hit half a dozen garage sales and three stores. Got home and relaxed a bit, and had my apple with FGPB snack. Then I headed to the Y for my workout. Did the Strive circuit room, and went up to 15 reps per set today. Cams were set at 2-3-1. For a good portion of the workout, I was all alone in there. After the machines, I went to the treadmill on a 2.0 incline:
2 minutes forward at 3.1
8 minutes backward at 2.5
2 minutes forward at 3.1
8 minutes backward at 2.5
2 minutes forward at 3.1
8 minutes backward at 2.5
2 minutes forward at 2.5 for cooldown

I was pretty tired after this! I spent the backwards walking looking down into the swimming pool. I wished I brought my suit. Next time. On the way home, I stopped at our natural foods Co-Op. I grabbed a divine (except they were out of alfalfa sprouts) chicken salad sandwich. Also picked up some mung bean sprouts for salads and some silken tofu (instead of mayo) to make tuna salad in the days ahead.

When I got home from the Y, all I wanted was a nap. But we couldn't find Dusty. The bugger has a habit of sneaking past me into the garage when I open the door. I was afraid he had done that before I left for the Y and then ran out of the garage when I opened it to leave. ACK! We called the vet, the microchip place, the pound, etc. We posted an ad on Craig's List. Then hubby decided to look in the garage one more time. He was there, hiding in a very dark corner. Whew!

So after all that, I did go take a 2-hour nap. Then went to Dad's for dinner. Baked pork roast, brown rice, steamed cauliflower, and a very nice salad. Had some grapes when I got home and a yogurt drink before bed.
