Monday

Woke up feeling tired this morning. (Stayed up too late last night on the computer...)

Got up and had one of the great chicken breasts Chris cooked yesterday. Got some good music going in the car on the way to the Y -- I've played this song on 'repeat' for the last couple of days and it really pumps me up for some reason. The beat kinda reminds me of Zumba and I find myself wiggling around in my seat.

Had about 15 minutes on the treadmill before I met with Kimberly. Workout was great! We added 2 more reps to each set and then also added a 2.5 weight to most of the machines. (Still taking it easy on the shoulder press... and did take the weight off for the 3rd set of two of them.) Ran into Bob. Then, I went to swim. Swimming was great! There were only 2 people in it when I arrived, 1 other person when I left, and the majority of the time I was there by myself.... just swimming and stretching and having a good time.

Stopped at the store on the way home and felt myself walking up taller. That's one thing that Kimberly has to keep reminding me during workouts... to keep head up, good posture, etc. I'm really working on that. Had another chicken breast for lunch, with a side of boiled green cabbage. No butter.

One (albeit silly) thing I've always wanted to do is have my hair in a French Braid. I haven't quite managed that yet, so my friend Jennifer is going to do that for me tomorrow. I've been feeling like my long hair is becoming unnecessary, and it's starting to cramp my style. Dealing with it takes so much more effort than it's worth -- and I never wear it down anyway!

Had leftover turkey for dinner and had a 100-calorie bag of popcorn while Chris & I watched House & SNL.

  1. Sounds like working out is still going well!! Whoo Hoo!! I'm going to see my PT today too - since I'm traveling Wed & Thurs and would miss my normal day. It is really cool that you're finding yourself walking taller, too!!
